ALUKO & OYEBODE ADVISES ON AN ANCHOR INVESTMENT IN SABOU CAPITAL AND ON SABOU CAPITAL’S US$2 MILLION IMPACT-LINKED DEBT INVESTMENT IN TOMATO JOS
Aluko & Oyebode is pleased to have advised an international economic development organisation on its anchor investment in Sabou Investment SPV Limited and on Sabou Capital Debt Vehicle I Limited’s US$2 million Naira-denominated impact-linked debt investment in Tomato Jos Farming and Processing Limited, a Nigerian tomato-paste manufacturer headquartered in Kaduna State.
The transaction demonstrates how innovative, impact-focused capital is being deployed to support commercially viable businesses that deliver measurable social and economic outcomes. The investment is expected to strengthen Tomato Jos’ operational capacity and support its growth ambitions, while advancing broader objectives of economic inclusion, agricultural development, food security, and sustainable economic growth. The transaction also underscores the increasing role of impact-oriented capital in unlocking opportunities for women-led businesses operating outside of traditional investment hubs.
The Aluko & Oyebode team was led by our M&A and Private Equity Partner, Ajibola Asolo, and our Banking and Finance Partner, Funmilayo Otsemobor.
