Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, is proud to welcome Professor Alex Ezeh for an official visit from August 10th to 14th, 2026. Professor Ezeh is a distinguished scholar, the founding force behind the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), and a transformative leader in African higher education and research capacity building. His work has strengthened institutions across the continent and elevated the quality and impact of African research on the global stage.
Why This Visit Matters

Professor Ezeh’s career offers concrete insights into these challenges. As the founding Executive Director of APHRC, he helped build one of Africa’s leading independent research institutions.
